personal updates

So sorry I am not going to be able to make it to the reunion...I was so looking forward to it. But the chemo is kicking my tail!!! I still have 2 treatments to go this summer...so pray for me.
As for a personal update...I really am enjoying living in New Mexico. I moved here in 2000 and teach and coach at a Public School here just outside of Albuquerque. This past year my vollyball team won the State Championship...it was very exciting! My brother Bill and his wife Liesl live here with their 7 children! (they run a Christian camp -- Oro Quay) My sister Karen has moved here a year ago, and my Dad this past December. My mom passed away last August after a month long illness here in NM. My parents were here for a family reunion and to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
In 2005 I was honored by being inducted into the San Diego Hall of Champions High School Coaching Legends. It was quite an experience and I was so thrilled that my parents could attend.
This past March as many of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The surgery in April went well and I will have chemo throughout the summer, and then begin radiation in September for 6 1/2 weeks. Please pray that I will have the strength and good health to start the school year strong and coach my team to another State Title (hey...it dosn't hurt to dream!)
